Mouth watering treats

ISLAMABAD, Nov 1: Everyone was treated to mouth watering treats Thursday night, when Rendezvous, a local restaurant, celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Rendezvous started off in Rawalpindi in 2002 and opened another outlet in the Gol Market area in F-7, five years ago. The restaurant is popular with the younger crowd mostly, especially for its variety of sheesha flavours and cuisine. Above all, like the two or three food outlets in its neighbourhood — Civil Junction and Hot Spot — Rendezvous is also favoured for its outdoor seating arrangements.

Celebrating the joy and laughter with the owners of the restaurant were Islamabad’s elite. The restaurant has a contemporary style, and the event decorations were perfectly fused with the green surroundings – bright spot lights and white flowers, candle lit comfortable lounges and delicacies to go around as guests mingled.

As guests were embraced by the warmth of their hosts, the celebration marked the opening of a renovated fine dining space on the first floor to attract dignitaries and corporate as well as family events from executive lunch/dinners to birthday parties. Humza Tarar who designed the interior of the fine dining space explained how he had incorporated different mediums of glass, opulent classic furniture and the gold and neutral tones to appeal to the changing dining culture of Islamabad.

Salma Turab and Turab Randhawa who spent a month arranging and managing the event explained how the restaurant had also improved their menu.—Staff Reporter
