Pakistan beat Holland, India in Super Sixes

KARACHI: Defending champions Pakistan marked the start of their Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament with victory, beating Holland and India on Saturday but lost to Sri Lanka.

Batting first, Holland made 73 runs for the loss of four wickets in the alloted five overs. Yasir Shah claimed two wickets for Pakistan.

In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 3.2 overs without losing any wickets. Owais Zia scored 34 runs while Umar Akmal made 28 not out.

Against arch-rivals India, Pakistan were set a target of 71 runs which they easily achieved in 3.3 overs with the loss of one wicket.

Pakistan set Sri Lanka a target of 85 runs in their third match of the day which they lost.

In the next round, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South Africa and Hong Kong will be seen in action.
