A rally, on the call of the MMA, was staged here on Friday to protest against the impending attack on Iraq by the United States.
The rally, which started from Gari Khata Chowk, terminated outside the local press club.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders of different political parties urged the government to change its foreign policy and called upon President Gen Pervez Musharraf to expel the agents of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation from Pakistan.
The district president of the MMA, Maulana Abdul Waheed Qureshi, expressed fear that Pakistan might be next on the list of the US targets after attacks on Afghanistan and possibly Iraq in the near future.
The provincial president of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf, Mir Haider Ali Talpur urged the Muslim countries to forge unity in the face of American aggression, adding that they should also boycott American goods.
Others, who spoke on the occasion, included the leaders of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, Maulana Shabbir Ahmed Khan, Maulana Taj Mohammad Nahiyoon and Azam Jehangiri, Amir of the Jamaat-i-Islami, Hyderabad, Shaikh Shaukat Ali, Nizamul Haideri of the Islami Tehrik, and the president of the Sindh Hari Committee, Azhar Jatoi.
Meanwhile, the activists of the Islami Tehrik staged a separate rally and a demonstration at the Qadamgah-i-Maula Ali against the possible American aggression against Iraq.
They, later, joined the procession of the MMA at the Kohinoor Chowk.
NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A rally was staged on Friday on the call of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, which terminated in the shape of a demonstration at the Allahwala Chowk.
The protestors urged the government not to allow the agents of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to interfere in the affairs of the country.
They also condemned the impending US attack against Iraq.

LARKANA: Activists and sympathisers of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal staged a rally on Friday to protest against the anti-Muslim stance of the United States.
SUKKUR: The activists of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) held a protest demonstration against the US in Sukkur on Friday.
Carrying banners and placards against the US, they marched through the main thoroughfares of the city finally stopping at the Clock Tower.
Meanwhile, protest rallies were also taken out in Ghotki, Pano Aqil, Kandhkot, and Daharki in interior Sindh.
