KARACHI: Two Indians and as many Iranians have sent their entries for the PSO 17th International Tennis Federation (ITF) Pakistan seniors world ranking tennis championship category four which gets into action at Karachi Gymkhana on Nov 2.
The foreigners who have shown their willingness to feature in the annual contest include Pawan Jain, Naresh Khatri (India) and Moharram Ali Khodaei, Kourosh Tavaheen (India).
According to a latest development, Bangladesh may also send two players in the competition.
In addition, some 40 veterans, including former Davis Cuppers who have donned Pakistan colour, will also be seen in action in the weeklong contest which is being held under the aegis of Pakistan Seniors Tennis Association (PSTA).
The details of the event were spelt by veteran official and president of PSTA, Khawaja Saeed Hai, at a press conference held at Karachi Gymkhana on Wednesday. Senior vice-president Jamal Mirza, secretary, Khalid Rehmani and sponsors representative Sheikh Mohammad Minhas were also present on the occasion.
The competition will be held in 35 singles, 45 singles and doubles, 55 singles and doubles.
The draws of the event will be taken out on Nov 1 at the venue.
