Man killed for pursuing daughter’s kidnap case

LAHORE, Oct 17: A man in his 40’s was shot dead allegedly by three people at Shadbagh on Wednesday.

The police said Ghulam Mustafa, who was a vegetable vendor, was shot dead by Furqan and his accomplices. Mustafa was pursuing the abduction case of his daughter.

The suspect had warned the victim against pursuing the case.

In another case, the Defence B police said the body of 35-year-old Abdul Qadir of Islampura was spotted in a car near Defence’s National Hospital.

The police said the man was strangled by his friend, Salman and his accomplice and was deprived of Rs18,000 in cash.  The police took Salman into custody and recovered the cash.

Suicide: A young woman ‘ended’ her life by shooting herself following family disputes in Tibbi City on Wednesday.

Quoting witnesses, the police said Humaira of Fort Road, a mother of four, quarrelled with her relatives before committing suicide.
