ISLAMABAD: The Awami National Party (ANP) on Wednesday reiterated its resolve to continue to support the coalition government and hoped it would complete its term.
This was stated by Senator Zahid Khan, who was heading a delegation of ANP legislators, which called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf here at the Prime Minister's House.
Talking to the legislators, the prime minister said that the ANP had supported the coalition government led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) through thick and thin. “We value this support and contribution of the ANP,” he added.
During the meeting, it was decided that the gas produced in northern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially “Tull”, would be provided to the local population as per constitutional provision.
The prime minister said that the government was committed to the development of the country and ensuring allocation of reasonable funds for the completion of development projects.
The ANP delegation expressed the hope that the government would complete its term successfully.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the ANP legislators would continue to play their role in the parliament and actively participate in the legislative business.
The ANP delegation also apprised the prime minister about the status of development projects in their areas.
