LAHORE: Advocate Zahid Hussain Bukhari, counsel for real state tycoon Malik Riaz, said that his client would not appear before the Suddle commission as its term had expired.

Talking to media at the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday, Zahid said the Suddle commission had mandate to complete inquiry in Arsalan Iftikhar case within thirty days but the term had expired on October 5.

He said that notices issued after set time were illegal and his client would not appear before the commission.

To a question, he said that if Suddle commission needed further time, then the Supreme Court should be approached which would decide matter after hearing the arguments of both the parties.

Zahid further said the commission should be stopped from work morally after the apex court accepted their review petition for hearing but it did not happen.
