Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, Oct 9: Seven ships including two with urea and chemicals are expected to arrive at the Karachi Port on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Six ships, Verity and Bertea, oil tankers, STX Patriakos with containers, Yong Sheng and Thai Long, bulk carriers, HC Opal with general cargo were berthed on Tuesday.

Four ships, FPMC Venus, Safina 2 Lindavia and Sidra Doha, sailed out. While STX Patraikos, President, Thai Long, TB 30 and Maria Star are due to depart on Wednesday.

A cargo volume of 48,342 tons comprising 35,702 tons of import and 12,640 tons of export was handled.

Following ships are due to arrive on Thursday: Lode Star Genesis with chemicals, Taban 1 and APL Brisbane with containers, Lady Amina with urea, Vishva Diksha load coal and Beacon S W with steel.

KARACHI, Oct 9: One ship carrying carbon oil was allotted berth during last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, three more container vessels also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Four ships, Thurgau, Ocean Star, Ana Dorothea and Arietis, were busy in loading cement and wheat and unloading urea and carbon oil.

A cargo volume of 43,194 tons comprising 30,194 tons of import and 12,280 tons of export was handled.
