SAFF U-14 FEP: Pakistan beat Japan Academy in opening match

LAHORE: Pakistan recorded their first win at the South Asian Football Federation Under-14 Football Exchange Programme when they beat Japan Football Association’s academy team at Toyko’s Tokinosumika Sports Centre on Tuesday.

Babar Saeed converted from the spot in the ninth minute to give Pakistan U-14 a 1-0 win.

Pakistan is placed in Group ‘B’ along with the Maldives, Nepal, JFA Academy 2 and Sri Lanka, according to the draws of the event.

India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, JFA Academy 1, Bhutan and India are placed in Group ‘A.’

Pakistan now will face Sri Lanka on October 10 at 06:30PST and Maldives on October 11 at 06:30 PST.
