THE bereaved ones and the survivors are grateful to the national leaders, who offered condolences and came over to salvage this city, recuperating from severe trauma.
It would, however, have enhanced their political acumen and raised their already high stature in national polity, had they also offered condolence to the father of this country and placed a soothing balm on his bruised soul. While being in proximity, a short detour to his mausoleum would have done wonders.
Recently, the chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan also visited the graves of the Bhuttos, not far away from Karachi, but did not pay regards to the person due to whose efforts Pakistan came into being and he is today the chief of his province.
