ISLAMABAD, Oct 4: Issue of missing persons and detaining people for an indefinite period is a clear violation of international laws. The US should quit Afghanistan and stop interfering in the issues of the Muslim world.

This was stated by human rights activists and US nationals, during a joint news conference on Thursday.

Speaking to media, chairperson Defence of Human Rights, Amina Masood Janjua said she had been struggling for the recovery of her husband and hundreds of other persons, who were missing.

She also announced a six-point agenda for the government to take notice. She said that all cases regarding missing persons should be tried by Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s sister, Dr Fauzia Siddiqui said the visit of members of US NGO Code Pink to Pakistan has given her hope that one day her sister will come back to Pakistan.

US citizen, Joe Lumbardo said Aafia Siddiqui’s case was a horrific example of the complete destruction of a life, for reasons, which are incomprehensible.
