OKARA, Dec 30: Six explosive devices were found under the lower Bari Doab canal’s bridge on the Okara-Faisalabad road near Rehmatpur Colony on Monday.

Police rescue 15 received a phone call about the explosives lying under the bridge. Police, with the help of civil defence and bomb disposal squads rushed to the place and recovered the devices.

Police are investigating.

Nomination papers can be filed till January 3. They will be scrutinized on Jan 4, while the papers can be withdrawn till Jan 6. Final list of candidates will be displayed on Jan 7 and elections will be held on Jan 11 from 9am to 4pm in which 497 eligible voters will cast votes.
