Police officers hospitalised after eating contaminated food

KARACHI: More than 100 police officers from Karachi's Razaqabad training centre were taken to hospital after eating contaminated food, DawnNews reported.

Many of the police officers are said to be in serious condition. An emergency has been declared at local hospital's after the incident.

Reports said that 109 officers have been taken to Jinnah Hospital. Thirteen of those officers are said to be in serious condition.

The IG Sindh has ordered the food in the training centre to be sealed and the police mess-in-charge to be detained.

The governor and chief minister have both ordered a report into the incident.
