Murder of husband Woman lays down life fighting case

TOBA TEK SINGH, Sept 22: A man allegedly shot dead his aunt who was pursuing the murder case of her husband at Gojra’s Chak 91-JB.

Amir Shahzad and Faisal Iqbal, along with their accomplices, had killed their uncle Abdul Ghaffar, a revenue office clerk, over farmland dispute two years ago.

Amir was released on bail.

A few months ago, Amir and others injured Ghaffar’s wife Shahida Perveen for pursuing the murder case of her husband. She then made it to DPO’s open court and complained that the Gojra Saddar police were not arresting Amir, though she produced the medico-legal certificate.

Amir, his brother Qamar Shahzad and her stepson Hammad Ahmad shot her dead.

The Saddar police registered a case on the complaint of Tahir Mahmood, a brother of Shahida Perveen, the mother of four.

KILLINGS: Two persons were killed in as many incidents on Saturday.

A woman was murdered in Pirmahal over dispute of possession of a residential plot by her brother Akhtar Hussain and his son Muhammad Nadeem.

The Pirmahal police registered a case.

A farmer was killed allegedly by his son at Chak 762-GB near Kamalia.

Mumtaz Ahmad shot dead his father on suspicion of his relations with his (Mumtaz’s) wife.

DENGUE CASE: DHQ Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Husain confirmed on Saturday the first dengue patient in the district.

He said nine-year-old Zainab Kamal, a resident of Chak 263-GB (Rajana), had been admitted to the dengue ward.

RALLIES: Activists of the Islami Jamiat Tulaba on Saturday took out a rally to condemn blasphemous film.

The rally from the Government College to the level crossing chowk was led by IJT Nazim Mian Inzimam Ahmad.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf’s Chaudhry Naeem Sindhu said all Muslim countries should unite on one platform to confront anti-Islam conspiracies.

He told a gathering that the rallies across the country had proved that the Muslims would not put up with blasphemy.
