LAHORE, Sept 19: The Pakistan Muslim League-N says it has the panacea for all the ills produced by “power-hungry” individuals in the country.
PML-N President Nawaz Sharif told central office-bearers of the party on the occasion of presentation of electoral, political and organisational review reports from Sargodha, Multan and Gujranwala divisions here on Wednesday that it had solutions to all the ills presently being faced by the country.
He said the party had been duly acknowledged by virtue of its steadfast principles and continuous struggle. “Everyone also admits its efforts for ensuring independence of judiciary and rule of the people.”
He pledged that after getting established the principle of supremacy of people in politics, his next target is to build the national economy on strong foundations.
He said the PML-N would take part in the forthcoming general elections not for the sake of assuming power but to rid the country of “incompetent” and “corrupt” rulers, besides putting the county on the road towards peace, progress and prosperity.
Mr Sharif said they were in politics not just to defeat individuals and groups but to ensure success of the country.
The PML-N chief will visit flood-affected areas in Sukkur, Sindh, on Sept 21 (Friday).
