ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf discussed the draft for the letter that has to be sent to Swiss authorities, DawnNews reported.

According to sources, Zardari and Ashraf met at the presidency following the Supreme Court’s order. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Law Farooq H. Naek who briefed the president and prime minister about the proceedings in the NRO case/contempt of court case.

Various points regarding the Swiss letter draft came under discussion.

The sources further said that Zardari and Ashraf both agreed to comply with the Supreme Court order.

Earlier in the day, the SC during the hearing of contempt of court proceedings gave the government time till September 25 to draft the letter and present it in the court.

The court also exempted the prime minister from personally appearing in the next hearing.
