PESHAWAR, Sept 7: Police claimed on Friday to have foiled another sabotage attempt by seizing an explosive laden car at a check point in Hayatabad here.

A police official Bashir Dad Khan told media persons that following some information about movement of a terrorist group from the tribal regions to Peshawar police established check points at different places.

At the Hayatabad check point, he said police signaled a white colour suspected car (Suzuki 1671) but seeing the police the inmates of the car escaped, leaving the vehicle on the road. The police, he said, called personnel of Bomb Disposal Unit, who recovered explosive device packed in CNG cylinder and disposed it of. The explosives weighed 110kg.
