Bomb scare delays PIA flights

KARACHI, Sept 7: Thousands of international and domestic passengers flying with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) suffered delays and cancellations in flights because of a bomb scare on Friday.

According to a PIA statement, a threat was received for flight PK 304, going from Karachi to Lahore. The plane — Boeing 747 — had to be parked in an isolated bay and was swept by the airport authorities. It took off at 6pm after being cleared.
