LAHORE, Sept 4: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday directed the Punjab chief secretary to hold an inquiry into the scandal of showing Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan region as part of Indian territory in an atlas book provided to elementary and high school libraries under the Punjab Schools Library Project.

The court issued these directions while disposing of a petition filed by the Pakistan Social Justice Party and directed the chief secretary to submit his inquiry report.

Petitioner’s counsel pleaded the atlas book published a map wherein some parts of Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir were showed as Indian regions. He said the book published with the help of the German government was part of a conspiracy of international level.
