QUETTA, Sept 3: The Balochistan High Court disqualified on Monday Minister for Industries Syed Ehsan Shah from the provincial assembly after the charges that he had submitted a fake bachelor’s degree with the Election Commission during the 2008 polls were proved.

Mr Shah, who was elected from provincial assembly constituency PB-38 Turbat-I, is parliamentary leader of the Balochistan National Party (Awami) in the house.

The bench comprising Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel and Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mengal announced the verdict.

Dr Yasin Baloch of the National Party had challenged the degree filed by Mr Shah along with his nomination papers.
