Conference on botany

ISLAMABAD, Sept 3: Increasing population, water scarcity, depleting natural resources and climate change are biggest threats to the development of the country and environmental safety.

This was stated by the participants of 3rd International Conference on Botany which was concluded on Monday with the call to conserve the natural resources, rare and endangered species by taking practical measures. The conference was organised by Quaid-i-Azam University, (QAU) in collaboration with Pakistan Botanical Society.

Almost 200 scientists and faculty members, across the country and abroad (Oman, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and France) participated in the conference.
