BADIN: Session Judge Badin Muhammad Hassan Jakhro on Friday gave five-year sentence to 65 people on the charges of occupying the land of a historical site.

The case against the convicts was registered by Deputy District Officer Matli Muhammad Khan a few years ago for encroaching upon an ancient graveyard near Tando Ghulum Ali town which he claimed was government’s property.

The session judge also directed the convicts to pay the penalty of 50 thousand rupees each as a penalty.

All the guilty present in the court room were arrested after the verdict was pronounced.
