Hashmi takes on PML-N leadership

LAHORE, Aug. 26: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Javed Hashmi took on PML-N leadership on Sunday saying most of its elders had fled abroad during the Musharraf regime after striking deals with the former army ruler.

Speaking at an Eid Milan party here, he said Nawaz Sharif loyalists like Khwaja Asif and Ahsan Iqbal too had left for Dubai when Musharraf took reigns of the country as a result of Oct 12, 1999 military coup.

He said the Sharifs would abandon Lahore if he exposed their past before the public.

He said (Chief Minister) Shahbaz Sharif was doing politics by using hand-fans at tent offices as this was not the proper way to resolve the issue of power loadshedding.

He denied the impression that PTI chairman had dropped plans of leading a procession to Waziristan for fear of his life after threats by the Taliban.
