PESHAWAR, Dec 23: A juvenile court here on Monday released a minor boy, accused of drug pushing, on probation, after his brother gave an undertaking that the boy would be admitted to a school.
The court of District and Sessions Judge, Hayat Ali Shah, awarded the boy, Wajid, son of Ghulam Sarwar, six-year imprisonment. It observed that because the boy was a minor, he should be released on probation of six years after furnishing two sureties of Rs2,00,000 each.
The court directed the brother of the accused that in case the court found out that the boy was not admitted to a school he would be re-arrested and sent to a rehabilitation institution for juvenile criminals.
