TWO incidents took place on Thursday morning: the Kamra Airbase attack, and the brutal killing of 22 Shia passengers, who were on their way to Astore, Gilgit Baltistan, to celebrate Eid. Both these acts of terrorism aimed at destabilising Pakistan.
Particularly, the genocide of Shia Muslims has been a norm in Pakistan, especially since the last few years. Besides, the state has failed to provide security to its people. Shia Muslims of Hazara community in Balochistan province and passengers of Gilgit Baltistan are being targeted after verifying their identities. Where are the security forces?
The two main schools of thought, Shias and Sunnis, had been living peacefully in these regions since eons. However, the long-lasting peace was destroyed by the fundamentalist approachof military dictator Zia-ul-Haq.
Prima facie, it appears that there is a non-ending clash between the two rival groups. But behind the scene, a big plan is being prepared by the masterminds of this game who have vested interests.
