LAHORE, Aug 23: Pakistan’s former table tennis coach Shah Jahan Lateef, who died in mysterious circumstances on Wednesday night, was laid to rest at a local graveyard here on Thursday.

Shah Jahan was the coach of the Pakistan team which bagged silver medal at the 1999 SAF Games in Nepal and during his stint with Wapda, he helped them assemble a squad that won several national level tournaments.

On Wednesday, he was going to a table tennis centre, Niaz Beg Thokhar club from his own centre in Johar Town when he met the ill fate.

Qayyum Ahmed, the owner of the Niag Beg Thokhar club and a close friend of the deceased, told Dawn that Shah Jahan fell from his motorcycle all of a sudden and later succumbed to his injuries.
