ISLAMABAD: Barrister Zafarullah submitted a petition in the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s Lahore registry, DawnNews reported.

The petition states that the players participating in the Olympics were not trained well and neither were any funds spent on them.

The petitioner alleged that the authorities sent a delegation only for a joy-trip which resulted in Pakistan's abysmal performance. Therefore, a judicial inquiry should be held and appropriate action should be taken against those responsible.

Pakistan could not progress beyond the preliminary stages in any of the sports they were participating in which were swimming, shooting, athletics and hockey.
