KHAR, Aug 18: The Bajaur Agency administration on Saturday released 17 prisoners involved in cases of minor crimes from the agency headquarters jail in Khar.

Bajaur Agency political agent Abdul Jabar Shah along with senior officials of the administration visited the Khar prison and held brief court inside the jail. The political agent was informed by the officials about the number of prisoners in the jail and the crimes they had committed. Mr Shah ordered release of 17 prisoners involved in minor crimes so they could join their families for Eid.

During the visit, the political agent also inspected various barracks of the jail and talked to the prisoners, who informed him of their problems.—Correspondent
