ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan spoke to the media on Wednesday said that his party would take a decision on the nomination of a caretaker prime minister after consultations are held with all parties in the opposition.

He said that once consultations with all political parties have taken place, two names would be nominated for the post, adding that they will hold talks after Eid-ul-Fitr.

Talking about contacts with the government, they said it is useless to talk to the government as the Election Commission of Pakistan holds the key role for the caretaker set up in line with the 20th Amendment.

Chaudhry Nisar said that they have reservations on considering an army operation in North Waziristan.

He said that an operation will bring in a new wave of terrorism, and that the country cannot afford to take such a step.
