SUKKUR, Aug 14: A policeman was killed in a road accident on National Highway near Ghotki on Tuesday.

Constable Hazaro Mirbahar was going to the B-Section police station on a motorcycle. When he reached near Khan Goth, a speedy passenger bus hit his motorcycle.

Police have arrested the bus driver and impounded the bus. The body of the constable was handed over to his relatives after conduct of its post-mortem at Civil Hospital Ghotki.

BODY FOUND: The body of a young girl was found floating in Mithri Minor (canal) in the Moomal-Ji-Mari area near Ghotki on Tuesday.

After receiving such information from villagers, police recovered the body and took it to Civil Hospital Ghotki where it remained unclaimed till late Tuesday evening.

The unidentified girl seems to have been strangulated.
