Core-committee meeting between PPP and MQM

KARACHI: The core-committee of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) held a meeting at the Chief Minister House on Monday, DawnNews reported.

Provincial Ministers, Agha Siraj Durrani, Murad Ali Shah and Rafiq Engineer from PPP were present during the meeting. While, Federal Minister Farooq Sattar, Kanwar Naveed, Wasay Jalil were representing MQM.

The drafting of the new municipal system remained at the top agenda of the meeting.

Moreover, President Asif Ali Zardari directed the committee to quickly develop new municipal system.

According to the sources, the revised municipal system will be presented before the senate after the Eid.
