VEHARI, Dec 21: Two masked robbers on Saturday deprived a landlord of Rs1 million, valuables and also took away his car at gunpoint in Jallah Jeem area.

Mian Muhammad Asim was on way to his house in Kirki Khurd union council by his car (235-MNX) when armed robbers intercepted him.

Police are going into the matter.

TWO KILLED: Two people were killed on Saturday when a trailer (2322-JT) crashed into a stationary truck (7211-Quetta) on the Mailsi-Lodhran Road near Mailsi.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the stationary truck overturned. As a result, two persons who were asleep in the truck died on the spot. The identity of the dead could not be established immediately. The trailer driver managed to escape from the scene.

Police are going into the matter.

ARRESTED: Mailsi police claim to have arrested three drug-traffickers late Friday and recovered 1 kg hashish from their possession.

Police have registered a case against Allah Ditta, Shaukat and Dilawar and sent them to jail.
