Firing causes panic in Karachi’s Jinnah hospital

KARACHI: Gunshots were heard in Karachi’s Jinnah hospital on Saturday, causing chaos and panic in the hospital’s emergency ward, DawnNews reported.

According to preliminary reports, the shots were fired outside the emergency ward of the city’s main hospital. The firing caused panic among the people. One person was reported to be killed while two others were injured as a result.

The casualties, however, could not be independently verified at the time of reporting. The hospital’s emergency room was also shut down following the incident.
