GAZA, Dec 21: Israeli soldiers detained two Islamic Jihad suspects in the southern Gaza Strip on Saturday and destroyed their homes in the Dir al Balah refugee camp.

The two Palestinians were wanted in connection with an attack on the Jewish settlement of Kissufim earlier this year.

Israeli soldiers detained a total of eight Palestinians in various raids during the night, the radio said.—dpa
