Australia U-19 beat Pakistan by eight wickets

ISLAMABAD: Australia's under-19 cricket team beat Pakistan by eight wickets in the third ODI played at Kerrydale, Gold Coast, Australia on Friday.

After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat and scored 179 runs for all out in 47.5 overs. Imam ul Haq played a magnificent innings of 77 runs off 118 balls, hitting six 4s. He was supported by Umar Waheed who scored 52 runs on 102 balls including one 4 and six 6s.

For Australia AJ Turner grabbed three wickets for 38 runs. HNA Conway and J Paris took two wickets each for 25 and 40 runs, respectively. M Steketee also took one wicket for 14 runs.

In reply, Australia reached the target with ease in 48.2 overs losing just two wickets. C Bancroft played well scoring 76 runs in 133 balls followed by MJ Buchanan who scored 28 runs. KR Patterson and SR Hain remained unbeaten at 52 and 9 runs, respectively.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz and Babar Azam bagged one wicket each giving 35 and 18 runs.

C Bancroft of Australia was declared Player of Match.
