SUKKUR, Nov 21: Ayub Dharejo a notorious and most wanted dacoit was arrested after a brief encounter from kutcha area of Ghangro on Wednesday.

According to details, SSP Sukkur Din Muhammad Baloch received a secret message that Ayub Dharejo along with his gangsters was hiding in Ghangro.

He immediately ordered SHO Ghangro to arrest the dacoit. The SHO along with a heavy police force raided the area and surrounded the hideout.

Sensing danger, the dacoits opened fire on the police, which was returned, and an encounter started which continued for an hour and the police succeeded to arrest Ayub Dharejo and recovered a Kalashnikov from his possession.

His other accomplice managed to flee firing in the air. Dharejo was kept at Ghangro police station for interrogation amid tight security.
