At least eight injured in Hub explosion

QUETTA: At least eight people were injured seriously in a bomb blast in the industrial town of Hub on Thursday.

Police told Dawn that the bomb placed close to a paan shop near Mondra chowk in Hub town exploded, injuring eight people.

The police and rescue team rushed to the scene and took the injured to the Jam Ghulam Qadir hospital.

Police said a bomb disposal squad team would determine what type of explosives had been used in the bomb. However, they added that it appeared to be an improvised explosive device.
