KARACHI, Dec 20: The trade ties between Pakistan and Rwanda can be cemented further by increasing the mutual trades, leader of trade delegation from Rwanda Ms Dorein said here on Friday.

During the visit of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dorein said there was enough potential to increase the two way trade between the two countries and opportunities available on this accounts, should be availed at the earliest.

She said Rwanda with the help of Saudi government was constructing a modern hospital at Rwanda and it would be needing hospital supplies, surgical goods, besides paramedics and doctors. Pakistan can avail this opportunity, she asserted.

Ms Dorein said Pakistani exporters would have access to several other countries by sending their goods to Rwanda, which was in the centre of several significant markets. She said Rwanda was keen to establish good trade ties with Pakistan.

She was of the view that the holding of trade exhibitions at each others countries and the exchange of trade delegations can help a lot in improving the trade ties between the two countries.

KCCI president Shaukat Iqbal said surgical goods of Sialkot were known for their quality world over. He said the pharmaceutical industry of the country was also significant and top quality products were being manufactured in collaboration with the global pharmaceutical firms.

He said the pharmaceutical firms should hand over the list of drugs and their prices to the visiting delegation for their consideration and feasibility for imports.—APP
