LAHORE: Rawalpindi bench of Lahore High Court on Monday extended the interim bail of Ali Musa Gilani, son of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and former Health Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin until Aug 6 while hearing the Ephedrine-quota case, DawnNews reported.

A divisional bench comprising of Justice Sheikh Najmul Hassan and Justice Shahzad Ahmed heard the case.

The investigation officer of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) informed the court that Musa Gilani and Shahbuddin were not cooperating in the investigations.

Justice Hassan warned the two defendants to cooperate or their bails would be rejected.

Former DG Health Dr Rasheed Ahmed Jumma and former director of the Pharma Company Rizwan Ahmed withdrew their bail pleas. ANF official explained the court that the two defendants have decided to become approver in the case therefore the bail was not needed anymore.
