MANSEHRA, July 27: Provincial Minister for Irrigation Ahmad Hussain Shah has said that the government would develop Kaghan valley and create more employment opportunities for its people.

“The Kaghan Development Authority has started work, while feasibility of Naran-Saiful Muluk Lake chairlift project is in final stages,” said Mr Shah while speaking at an Iftar party in Padlain Garain village of the valley here the other day.

A local elder Sadaqat Hussain briefed the minister about numerous problems being faced by people of the valley.

Mr Shah said that the KDA would be fully operational within a couple of weeks. He said that following installation of Naran-Saiful Muluk Lake chairlift the number of tourists to this scenic valley would go up. He said that soon the people of Kaghan valley would enjoy the fruit of development.

TWO KILLED: A man and his two-year son were killed over an old enmity in Khangiry area of Balakot on Friday, police said.

According to FIR registered with Balakot police, one Attaur Rehman and his accomplices, including Abdul Rasheed, Chan Sardar and Shah Rehman, allegedly barged into the house of Shafique Ahmad at sehr time and opened indiscriminate fire, killing him and his son Majid on the spot.

Mohammad Nazir, brother of Mr Shafique, told police that the assailants also fired on his house and fled the scene.

PML-N MEETING: A meeting here on Friday decided to reorganise the youth wing of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in Hazara division.

“Hazara is the stronghold of PML-N and the youth wing would spread its party manifesto to every part of the division,” said Sardar Zahoor, divisional president of youth wing.

The meeting decided to hold youth convention in Hazara after Eidul Fitr and invited PML-N president Nawaz Sharif to address the gathering. Mr Zahoor said that the youth wing activists had full confidence in Mohammad Safdar.
