ISLAMABAD, Dec 18: Afghan Vice-president Hedayat Amin Arsala called on Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali here on Wednesday at the PM House and disucsed with him economic relations of the two countries.

The prime minister said Pakistan and Afghanistan were bound together by centuries-old ties of history, culture and relgion.

Prime Minister Jamali said Pakistan was keenly interested in the reconstuction efforts of Afghanistan.

He assured the vice-president his full cooperation in this regard, saying that a strong and vibrant Afghanistan was in the interest of the region.

The $100-million facility from Pakistan for Afghanistan also came under discussion.—APP
