Afghan troops raid Kurram outpost

PARACHINAR, July 25: Afghan National Army intruded into Kurram Agency on Wednesday and attacked an outpost of the Kurram Militia, official sources said.

The sources said two Pakistani soldiers were wounded when the Afghan troops opened fire at the Dlassa outpost in Upper Kurram Agency early in the morning.

The injured soldiers were identified as Sohail and Haider.

Pakistani forces backed by artillery repulsed the attack. Officials of the political administration and security agencies rushed to the area and started investigation.

On July 12, the Afghan troops intruded into a village in Kurram Agency in Muqbal area and killed two civilians after an exchange of fire with villagers.
