LAHORE, July 22: Isolated rain coupled with hailstorm hits parts of the Punjab capital on Sunday evening. The residents of other localities continued to brace a humid weather amid hourly loadshedding.
The Meteorological Department has forecast isolated rain/thunderstorm in Lahore during the next 24 hours.
It recorded maximum temperatures at 39 degrees Celsius and the minimum 28 degrees Celsius with 9mm rain till late in the evening on Sunday.
Mainly hot and humid weather is likely in most parts of the country as seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending southeast wards. Rain/thundershower is expected at isolated places of Hazara, Rawalpindi,Gujranwala and Bahawalpur divisions besides south-eastern Sindh and Kashmir.
Most parts of the country remained under the grip of scorching heat on Saturday, said the meteorological department.
Maximum temperatures recorded in other cities were Islamabad, Faisalabad and Quetta 33 C, Karachi 34 C, Peshawar and Gilgit 40 C, Murree 26 C and Multan 41 C. The highest maximum temperature was recorded 45 C in Dalbadin.
