KARACHI, July 16: An exhibition of Islamic art and calligraphy by Muhammad Shafique and Asif Ghazali was held in the Defence Authority Creek Club here on Monday.

The works of the new artists include oil paintings both on canvas and paper.

Retired Brig Asif Ghazali, who has organised the event, said “the idea behind the exhibition is to foster the old Islamic art and calligraphy which is a very rich heritage”.

He said the earning from the exhibition would be spent in helping out the needy artists.—APP
