Hunain loses in China

KARACHI, July 16: Pakistan’s Hunain Aamir fell prey to China’s Lu Ning in the IBSF world under-21 snooker championship in Wuxi, China on Monday.

Having won first two group matches, Hunain couldn’t match the brilliance of Chinese and lost 0-103, 36-86, 7-99, 43-75.

Hunain’s fellow countryman Mohammad Majid Ali conjured up a magnificent 4-1 victory over Belgium’s Alvyn Depoorter, the scores being 55-26, 60-49, 76-11, 12-60, 84-45.

This was Majid’s third win in four games.

Results: Hunain Aamir lost to Lu Ning (China) 0-4 (0-103, 36-86, 7-99, 43-75); Mohammad Majid Ali bt Alvyn Depoorter (Belgium) 4-1 (55-26, 60-49, 76-11, 12-60, 84-45).
