Malik urges all IGs to be on high alert in Ramadan

KARACHI: Adviser to the PM on interior affairs Rehman Malik said on Sunday that all the Inspector Generals (IG) of police should be on high alert as the enemy could attack in the month of Ramadan, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives in Karachi, Malik said that no one in the country would be allowed take the law in his/her hands.

He urged the  Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) Chief  Nawaz Sharif  to apologise the people for making deals with the former president Pervez Musharraf.

“After cases are being reopened against Nawaz Sharif, he is getting nervous,” the interior adviser said.

Malik said that he would reveal more evidence against the ' Sharif brothers'.

He said that reference against Nawaz Sharif was sent to NAB on the directions of the Supreme Court. But Sharif refused to meet the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for the investigations, he added.

The interior adviser said that on the information from the security agencies we informed the Punjab government that the police could be next target after the incident of Gujrat. But the provincial government did not take any serious action on that, he added.

Moreover he added that the PML-N should avoid the politics of petitions.
