At least five, including political activist, killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Tension prevailed in different areas of the city  after an office bearer of a political party was killed on Monday, DawnNews reported.

Within a few hours, at least five people have lost their lives in the city.

People lodged a protest in Federal B area against the targeted killing incidents.

Unidentified men opened fire on a car of a political activist Naseeb Khan in the area of North Nazimabad near Asghar Ali Shah stadium. The activist died on the spot.

After the incident, the situation in the areas of De-silva town, Shahrah-e Noor Jehan, Abdullah college, Shipowner’s college remained tensed.

Armed men forced the businessmen to close their shops.

A man, named Amanat, was shot dead in the area of Sher Shah near Paracha roundabout.

Another man was killed while two received bullet injuries in the area of Shafeeq Mor. A dead body was also found from the same area.
