LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s chief security officer Major (r) Muaaz was injured after a low intensity blast at his house, DawnNews reported.

IG Punjab Haji Habib-ul-Rehman said that according to initial investigations, the blast took place in Major (r) Muaaz’s car. He said that Muazz had received a phone call in which he was told that he had forgotten a parcel of his.

Muaaz returned home and was examining the parcel when it exploded. According to hospital sources, Major (r) Muaaz has received injuries on his legs and back. He has been admitted at the intensive care ward at Shaikh Zayed Hospital.
