YDA activists ‘critical’

LAHORE: Some ‘absconding’ activists of the Young Doctors Association said on Monday that on of their colleagues was struggling for life at a hospital after police torture.

Talking to the media by phone from an undisclosed location late on Monday night, Dr Mudasar Razaq Khan, Dr Abubakr Gondal, Dr Rana Arif and Dr Fateh Sher said the Punjab government would be responsible for the consequences if their injured fellow Dr Naeem died.

“The situation will reach point of no return in case of any eventuality,” Dr Mudasar said and condemned the police crackdown on the young health professionals.

Dr Mudasar and his fellows, who managed to escape a police raid at Services Hospital, demanded withdrawal of all actions against doctors. — Staff Reporter
