QUETTA, July 2: The deputy district health officer of Mastung was kidnapped on Monday evening.

Sources said Dr Abdullah Jan was going home when armed men took him away.

Confirming the kidnapping, official sources said that police had been deployed to entry and exit points of the town.

However, there was no clue to the whereabouts of the kidnapped official till late into night.—Correspondent
